Preparation of Statement of Claim for Arbitration proceedings
Our Brief
We had previously prepared three extension of time claims for the Contractor and the Contractor had prepared claims for prolongation costs and many variations. The Engineer and Employer adopted a policy of continual rejection of all matters and had also deducted delay damages. All attempts by the Contractor to achieve settlement failed and the matter proceeded to arbitration.
The Services
We were engaged by our client to assist the lawyers by preparing the statement of claim for arbitration.
The Benefit
Our client was able to avoid considerable legal fees by engaging us to deal with the construction and technical matters within the statement of claim. Additionally, the barrister engaged by our client was very complimentary about the clarity and detail of the statement of claim.
